Summer Camp for Kids
"1920's - A Movie Night at the Yard"
July 12 - 15

Designed for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, the N.C. Transportation Museum's 2011 Summer Camp will be held July 12 -15 from 10am – 4pm each day.

Campers will be split into teams. Each team will learn about the social and economic change in the 1920’s brought by the advent of silent black and white movies and new forms of transportation in North Carolina. Each team will write, produce, act, and film their own black and white silent short film. The films will then be judged by the group leaders and presented to the parents on the final day of camp.

It's a fun way for kids to learn about Spencer Shops and the history of transportation across North Carolina.
