Learning to Fly allows you to experience what's it's like in the cockpit, with a hands on aviation event.  We'll also feature programs with Ret. U.S. Marine Col. Grey Medinger and former Marine Corps One pilot, and Ret. Col. Wesley Bean, who helped maintain Air Force One.

The Rowan Aeromodelers will be flying high with their remote controlled airplanes.

A walk in hot-air balloon will allow you to see the inside of these soaring, colorful, high flyers.

The Charlotte Historic Aviation Commission will appear with their KC-97 cockpit to see what's in like in the pilot's seat.

A Blackhawk helicopter has been requested (pending scheduling conflicts).

Artists will also show and sell their work as part of the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources 2nd Saturdays program.

The event runs 10am to 3pm.  Tickets: $12 for ages 3 and up.
