Train and Turntable Rides
Our 25-minute train ride, which offers a narrated tour of the 57-acre site, is pulled by an antique diesel engine. The train generally runs daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day and on weekends or for scheduled groups the rest of the year.

January and February – Saturdays, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

April through Memorial Day

Admission Plus Train Ride
- Adults - $10
- Seniors (60 and older)/Active Military - $8
- Children (3-12) - $6
- Children 2 and under, who will sit on the lap of a parent or guardian, ride free
Diesel Cab Rides - Ride with the engineer!
- $25 per person seated rider. $15 for standing riders. (includes site admission)
- Seats must be filled before standing rides are sold.
- Number of available tickets depends on locomotive.
- Available on a first-come, first-served basis. Not available during special events.
- Engineer has full descretion regarding number of tickets sold and availability.
- Riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- The cab can be noisy and may disturb very young riders.
Turntable Rides
(Ride on the 100-foot turntable, located in front of the Bob Julian Roundhouse.)
- A guide will explain the history of the turntable.
- Rides are offered every half hour between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Tickets can be purchased for $1 per person in the Roundhouse orientation room.
