Camp out at the N.C. Transportation Museum!

This busy two-night event combines a traditional scout camp experience with our 60-acre museum full of authentic railroad equipment. Our educators will work with you to earn a custom patch through hands-on activities and workshops using real trains.  The camp includes:

Two nights of camping on our 60-acre historic site

Hands-on transportation activities facilitated by museum educators to earn a custom NCTM patch

A 25-minute ride around the museum on our historic train

A scavenger hunt throughout the museum

     A scout-led skit about railroads

     Campfires

Troops set up camp on Friday night, have activities and a train ride on Saturday, and pack up Sunday morning.
