Sleep among the exhibits!

This overnight event combines a traditional scout camp experience with our 60-acre museum full of authentic railroad equipment. Our educators will work with you to earn a custom patch through hands-on activities and workshops using real trains.  The camp includes:

One night of camping on our 60-acre historic site, inside the museum's Back Shop

Hands-on transportation activities facilitated by museum educators to earn a custom NCTM patch

A 25-minute ride around the museum on our historic train

A scavenger hunt throughout the museum

     A scout-led skit about railroads

Troops set up camp on Friday night, have activities until lights out, then enjoy free time and a train ride Saturday before departing the museum.
